I love cats and the musician ASKA.
When I was in elementary school, I wanted to become a great cartoonist like Osamu Tezuka and Fujiko Fujio,However, I soon decided to give up on it because it was an impossible dream.
After becoming an adult, I became a fitness instructor and taught studio classes like BODYPUMP. Despite paying meticulous attention to my diet, I developed gestational diabetes, which later progressed to type 2 diabetes.
I couldn’t accept that I had developed type 2 diabetes, and it infuriated me that people assumed only lazy people get it.
I earnestly wished to become a cartoonist. I entered a cartoon contest hosted by Shonen Gahosha, won an award, and at age 44, I was able to become a cartoonist.
I published a comic featuring a young female doctor as the protagonist, but suddenly the app where I was serializing the comic shut down, and I lost my manga job.
I was desperate, but I learned that I could sell my comics through Kindle Direct Publishing without going through a publisher, so I’m giving it a shot.
