One day, I looked for the skim milk at the supermarket. An elderly woman with a severely hunched back and slow movements was working in the store uniform.
I thought she probably didn’t understand where the skim milk was anyway.
I asked a male clerk around my age where it was, but he said he didn’t know.
When he found himself in trouble and asked the elderly woman for help, she guided us to where the skim milk was with astonishingly swift movements.
I felt deeply ashamed for having arbitrarily assumed the elderly woman knew nothing, and I thanked her.
